Des Fleurs Garden Club
The Des Fleurs Garden Club was founded in 1960 and through the years has made significant contributions to the Oxford community including the design, planting and maintenance of Inloes Gardens on the corner of High Street and Locust Ave. In 2006 Des Fleurs facilitated the landscaping along the entire front of the Arts Center and in 2007 began work on The Children’s Garden at OCAC. http://www.desfleurs.org
OxACT – The Oxford Area Community Theatre has been serving the residents of Oxford, OH and surrounding communities since 1980. As a result of the first organizational meeting at the public library, a number of individuals and businesses pooled their resources to establish a vital, dynamic theatre company dedicated to giving local residents the opportunity to not only see quality theatre, but to also participate in every aspect of theatrical production. Miami Film Association (MFA) is a non-profit organization created to support new and upcoming independent filmmakers and film production focused in the Miami River Valley region of the Midwest (Southern Ohio, Northern Kentucky, & Eastern Indiana). Though the focus of the Miami Film Association is on supporting and promoting film production in the Midwest, our goals and support are expanded with global reach through national support, independent releasing and the creation of international programs including the Oxford International Film Festival, Cinema Weekly, Film Production Support and various other diverse and unique programs created specifically with new artists in mind. The Oxford Museum Association is a non-profit organization committed to the preservation and demon-stration of nineteenth century rural and small-town life in the Oxford region. Its mission is to promote awareness and appreciation of area history through education, public programs and preservation of historic sites. The Preble County Historical Society (PCHS) is dedicated to preserving and protecting our county heritage, artifacts, memories, and ideas. From the early 1800s to modern day, Preble County has rich farming and rural traditions to treasure. The Historical Society has a wealth of historical materials, from family photographs and records to old-time clothing, buggies, and a 1903 Model A Ford. Through its programs, exhibits, educational programs, and special events, and library and archives, Preble County Historical Society puts you in touch with local history.
PCHS is also dedicated to preserving and protecting our natural heritage, as well as artifacts, memories, and ideas. Walk one of our many trails, view the progress of our prairie conversion efforts, see the newest bridge - an engineering marvel built as an Eagle Scout project, and find the old mill race.
