WHO’S WHO

Have you visited OCAC’s NEW Art Shop CO-OP yet?  If the answer’s ‘yes’, then you already know what a great place it is!  If no, then come on in and find out!  Our regular hours are 10am to 2 pm Tuesday through Saturday. And later in the evening for Second Friday Open Studios. (We’re also open for occasional special events.)

Pottery, Paintings, Jewelry, Etc., Etc., - Gifts, gifts, gifts! Oxford’s ONLY place both to buy a variety of one-of-a-kind arts and crafts made by area artists, and support local art-related activities. How so?  Well, 20% of the cost of every purchase you make in the shop is joyfully donated by the artist  directly to the Oxford Community Arts Center.  Since our modest opening in late March of 2009, we artists and YOU (through your purchases) have already donated several hundred dollars to the Center’s operations. 

Currently there are nine member artists who share responsibility for the shop’s operations.  In addition, some of these artists also give additional volunteer hours to the center, helping with art exhibits, receptions and classes, among other things.

The Art Shop Cooperative members spent an evening recently celebrating our 1 year birthday and doing some strategic planning. Watch for changes and improvements in how the shop functions!
